Day 1:   We depart this morning with our sights set on a wonderful maritime experience.  Our overnight stay will be in Syrcause, New York.

Day 2:   After our included breakfast we will depart for Boston where we will check into our area hotel for our two-night stay.  After refreshing ourselves at the hotel, we will enjoy an included dinner this evening at a local restaurant. B, D

Day 3:   After breakfast we meet our local guide this morning for a historic Boston highlights tour featuring parts of the Freedom Trail.  Boston is one of the oldest cities in the United States.  As the largest city in New England, Boston is regarded as the unofficial “Capital of New England”.  Boston is the city where America’s roots were formed and driving through it is like reading the pages of an American history book.  Your guide will point out sights along the Freedom Trail as well as the Boston Common and Public Gardens, the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, and the gold-doomed State House. Today we will embark upon a Tall Ships Cruise of the Boston Harbor aboard the Spirit of Boston or the Odyssey (both comparable harbor cruise ships).  Your harbor cruise captain will show you the best views of these fine ships!  Enjoy commentary about the ships, the harbor and Boston’s part in the history of our country!  Note: Your cruise will include either brunch, luncheon or afternoon refreshments, TBD).  After the cruise you will spend time exploring the Tall Ships on your own. Your day will also include a visit to the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, where a personal “colonial character” will guide you through the ships and museum.  The museum features full-scale replicas, artifacts and interactive elements.  Meet “Sam Adams” and participate in the reenactment of the destruction of the tea.  Board a tall ship and marvel at one of only two known tea crates surviving.  Dinner will be on your own at Quincy Market.  For over 250 years the marketplace has played an integral role in the life of Boston’s residents.  You will feel the cobblestones beneath your feet, see roaming performers and be able to taste the wonderfully diverse ethnic foods available to you.  You will have time to visit Faneuil Hall, which has served as a meeting hall and a place where merchants can market their wares since 1742.  Return to the hotel after our evening. B, L

Day 4:   Breakfast is included this morning at the hotel before we check out and meet our local guide for a morning of touring.  Today we will visit the Charlestown Navy Yard where you will see the USS Constitution aka Old Ironsides.  Located in the Charlestown Navy Yard, the USS Constitution was launched in Boston on October 21, 1797, and is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world.  While here you can board and take a self-guided tour of the USS Constitution.  Seamen are posted at spots throughout the ship to answer questions.  You will have time to visit the Visitor’s Center with memorabilia and gifts and visit the USS Cassin Young, a World War II Navy Destroyer. After our visit we will begin the first leg of our journey home.  Meal and rest stops will be made enroute before we arrive at our overnight destination. B

Day 5:   After our included breakfast we will set our sights toward home.  Plan to arrive early evening, refreshed and renewed with our Boston visit and celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States of America! B
